Intels new Quark CPU core is one step towards a new, ARM-like foundry model

Intel's new Quark is designed to fit power consumption targets and devices where even the low-powered Atom can't currently compete. With a new embedded architecture and customized silicon blocks, this chip is a significant departure from Intel's previous products.
