InterDigital, Inc. , a mobile research and development company, today announced that InterDigital Europe, the company's London-based 5G-focused research unit, has been chosen by the European Commission to conduct a 5G socioeconomic research project . The research will directly inform the development and rollout of 5G in the European Union, and empower the region to stake an early claim as a global 5G leader.
