Designed for use at EIA/TIA RS-530 data interface of modems, multiplexers, and terminals, Model 900 is inserted in series between DTE and DCE to provide access to and monitoring of all data, timing, and control signals. Miniature slide switches let user program make or break for each signal, while mini-patchcords enable cross-patching or loopback patching of signals. Powered by two 9 V batteries, Model 900 uses red and green LEDs to display polarity, activity, and validity of signals.
