(Telecompaper) Italian antitrust watchdog AGCM has given its conditional approval to Sky Italia's acquisition of the R2 unit of commercial broadcaster Mediaset but imposed conditions on Sky in view of competition concerns. Above all, AGCM said Sky would be banned from distributing exclusive content on its online video streaming platform for a total of 3 years due to its current dominance of the market and with a view to boosting competition in pay-TV.
