Jamaica Observer: The third annual Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Conference held in Upolu, Samoa in August 2014 highlighted the fact that the future economic development of SIDS will be ocean-based. Ocean-based economic growth, referred to by the moniker "blue growth", depends critically on healthy oceans.
