Johor furniture makers have expressed concern that the country's furniture industry could be affected in the long term if the shortage of foreign workers is not addressed. Malaysia Furniture Council President Chu Chun Chai said the government's recent decision to temporarily freeze the intake of foreign workers could hurt the country's furniture production.
