Kadant acquires German firm

Kadant Inc., a supplier of equipment for papermaking, recycling and other process industries, recently announced that it has acquired German-based RT Holding GmbH, the parent corporation of a group of companies known as the PAALGROUP, for about $58 million. PAAL manufactures channel balers and related equipment used in the processing of recyclable and waste materials.
