The former chief executive officer of Kroger stores and a namesake of the founder of Dillon's stores in Kansas has been named chairman of a group seeking to expand the sale of alcohol in Kansas markets. David Dillon, who was CEO of The Kroger Co., from 2003-2013 until his retirement after 38 years with the company, will be part of the 2015 legislative efforts of Uncork Kansas, a group attempting to expand the sale of alcoholic beverages in the state, the group announced Friday.
