(Telecompaper) A German-US consortium, in partnership with BT Group from the UK, has submitted a EUR 227 million bid for 75 percent of the Post and Telecommunications of Kosovo (PTK). The consortium consists of ACP Axos Capital (Germany) and Najafi (US). Economy Minister Besim Beqaj told AFP that the bid is twice that submitted by M1 International from Lebanon. The Kosovo government could reach a decision within a week on the buyer, while at the same time retaining a 25 percent stake in the operator. PTK has over one million mobile users and around 100,000 fixed telephony connections.
