Kroger pulls back plans for revitalizing eastside shopping center

A request from the real estate division of the Kroger grocery chain to table its plans for redevelopment of the College Station Shopping Center on Athens' eastside was honored Thursday by the Athens-Clarke County Planning Commission. The tabling gives the company another month to refine its proposal for the 19-acre tract at the corner of College Station and Barnett Shoals roads.
