It's not clear what the MTA plans to do with the L train for the 18-month to three-year period during which the Canarsie tunnel will be closed. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority laid out its timeline to fix the Canarsie tunnel - the underwater tube that was inundated with corrosive salt water during Hurricane Sandy - in board documents to its board released Friday.
