The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously agreed Tuesday to send a letter to the governor and state legislative leaders requesting they investigate and impose immediate reforms to the state's oil and gas regulatory agencies. Supervisor Michael Antonovich called for the action following a Los Angeles Daily News report that showed Southern California Gas Company officials knew its pipes were corroding and failing a year before a well began to leak methane gas at its Aliso Canyon storage facility above Porter Ranch.
