(Telecompaper) LG has announced that it will be launching four new mid-range smartphones at MWC in Barcelona on 02-05 March. The Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy are mid-range handsets that, in LG's words, come with design elements and features usually reserved for premium models. The two most powerful smartphones, the Magna and Spirit, have rounded backs and curved screens to ensure better grip, as well as in-cell touch display and the Gesture Shot and Glass View features of the high-end LG G3. The Magna comes with a 5-inch screen, a 1.2/1.3 GHz quad-core processor, a 2,540 mAh removable battery and an 8-megapixel main camera. The Spirit has the same processing power and camera but features a 4.7-inch display. The lower-end Leon and Joy come with 4.5 and 4-inch screens with the former featuring a 1.2/1.3 GHz quad-core processor and an 8-megapixel main camera while the latter has a 1.2 GHz quad-core/1.2 GHz dual-core processor and 5-megapixel main camera. All four handsets come with 3G and 4G versions and will be powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. LG will be demonstrating its new mid-range collection and its recently unveiled LG Watch Urbane smartwatch at MWC 2015 next week.
