(Telecompaper) LG said it will unveil an expanded lineup of its 4K Ultra HD TVs at the 2015 CES in Las Vegas. The new lineup will sport new designs, more features and picture quality enhancements with ColorPrime. The TVs use different phosphor-based LEDs to display greater colour depth and more lifelike images. LG will also be unveiling its 4K Ultra HD TVs with Quantum Dot technology, which offers high colour accuracy along with a 30 percent increase in the color gamut. The TVs will also feature the immersive Cinema Screen design. Five of the new TV models come equipped with multi-channel Ultra Surround System, developed in partnership with audio expert Harman/Kardon, with forward-firing speakers. The high-end UF9500 series features an integrated Auditorium Stand designed to reflect and centralise sound. The connected TV work with webOS 2.0 and above and render SD, HD and Full HD content into near Ultra HD quality images. The built-in 4K High Efficiency Video Codec (HEVC) Decoder supports both 30p and 60p 4K content from external devices.
