La-Z-Boy posts profits of $19.5M

La-Z-Boy Inc. said Tuesday its profits for the second quarter of its fiscal 2014 were $19.5 million, or 37 cents a share, up 17 percent from $16.7 million, or 31 cents a share, a year ago. The Monroe-based furniture company, which makes the La-Z-Boy recliner chair and other products, said sales for the quarter totaled $365.6 million, up from $352.3 million a year ago.
