'Lake killer' over-reaction to starry stonewort, Michigan expert says

Calling the invasive algae starry stonewort a lake killer is an over-reaction, an official of the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, said Thursday. Michigan has been battling starry stonewort for a decade and people still fish and swim in lakes that are dense with starry stonewort, she said.
