Last week in media: more spin-offs ahead, the EU readies Copyright Directive and Apple launches portfolio of services

(Telecompaper) After the closing of the Disney/Fox deal in the previous week, more fundamental changes came to the media sector in week 13. The NENT Group was spun off from the Modern Times Group, Schibsted announced the spin-off of Adevinta and Naspers plans the IPO of its internet unit. The Telecompaper Stock Index Global Consumer Media ended the week down 0.5 percent, versus a 1.2 percent gain for the S&P 500.
