Laundry detergent company to close Houston-area plant, cut jobs

The Sun Products Corp., which manufactures and markets laundry and household care products, will close its chemical manufacturing plant in Pasadena due to a new supply agreement. The closure will affect 28 salaried and 85 hourly employees, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act letter sent to the Texas Workforce Commission.
