Layoffs at Franciscan Media Will Not Affect Books, Publisher Says

Franciscan Media, the Cincinnati-based company that publishes Catholic-interest books under its Servant Books and Franciscan Media imprints, as well as a flagship magazine, St. Anthony Messenger, has laid off 27 employees, about half of its staff. Franciscan Media CEO and publisher Father Dan Kroger told PW most cuts were in back-office positions, plus two in marketing, one audio producer, and nine full- and part-time employees at its call center in Cleveland.
