Legislature approves $3.9 million for Cornelius Pass Road safety improvements

The Oregon Legislature has approved $3.9 million to fund safety improvements for Multnomah Countys section of NW Cornelius Pass Road. The funding will allow the county to construct improvements that have been identified in a recent planning effort. The improvements -- including realigned curves, shoulder widening, guardrails, vehicle pullouts, and a vehicle-activated beacon -- are being designed this year with construction scheduled to begin in 2017.
