Tree.com Inc. , the Charlotte-based parent of LendingTree , has changed its corporate name back to LendingTree Inc., saying the change will "better reflect both the company's go-forward strategy and its historical roots," according to a news release issued Tuesday . "Changing our corporate name from Tree.com, Inc. to LendingTree, Inc. allows us to emphasize our unified corporate strategy and well-known brand," founder and CEO Doug Lebda said in the release.
