Liberty Global commissions own original drama series

2016-08-03 08:44:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Liberty Global announced new content deals with All3Media and Discovery Communications. The cable operator commissioned four original drama series for the next two years from All3Media, to be shown exclusively to its own customers. The shows will be made available on demand for customers of Liberty Global companies across Europe, Latin America and the Carribean. The deal, a first for Liberty Global, was led by its UK subsidiary Virgin Media. Liberty Global owns 50 percent of All3Media. At Discovery, Liberty Global agreed a long-term renewal of the distribution agreement, including Discovery Channel, TLC, ID and Eurosport, to Liberty Global customers across its 12 European countries. The deal also includes digital rights, for multi-screen viewing in and out of the home, through Liberty Global's broadband companies.
