Later this summer, United Airlines will fuel one of its flights with farm waste and oils derived from animal fats-giving "airplane smell" a whole new meaning. The upcoming flight-which will take off from Los Angeles and land in San Francisco-is likely the first of many for the airline company as they look to reduce both greenhouse gas emissions and fuel costs by expanding into biofuels.
