Local stock market is infused with foreign capital and investors

Taiwan's stock market posted a net capital inflow of US$856 million last week and a net inflow of US$5.06 billion so far this year, the latter of which exceeded figures of all emerging economies in Asia. As of Friday last week, foreign investors owned a market capitalization of about US$304 billion, which was higher than the previous week's figure and represented 38.73 percent of the total capitalization.
