MDEQ awards grant to Cleveland

Recycling has picked up and Cleveland Public Works recently received a grant for Earth Day next year. The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality awarded Cleveland a solid waste assistance grant of $21,000 that will be use by the city for a household hazardous waste collection event on April 11. Cities and counties may apply for Solid Waste Assistance Grants through the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality.
