MTA official wants to cut commute fares on LIRR, Metro-North

Allen Cappelli said he doesn't believe the MTA's argument that slashing commuter rail ticket prices will hurt the agency financially. An MTA board member will press the transit agency on Monday to cut the commuter rail ticket prices for New Yorkers who want to travel around the city.
