The tumultuous stock market, disappointing earnings news and contract negotiations are combining to wreak havoc with stock prices at several Pittsburgh public companies. The Dow Jones industrial average was down 307 points or 1.8 percent to 16,683.49 by 2:30 p.m. Nasdaq shed 91 points, or 1.87 percent, to 4,786.39.
