Marvel To Launch 'Secret Wars' Comic Event Via Online Livestream

Marvel Entertainment is determined that its upcoming Secret Wars comic book series will be, in its words, "the biggest comic event of the year" - and to ensure that everyone knows about it, the company has announced a live online event to launch it. Secret Wars Live Kickoff will be streamed live from Midtown Comics, a popular New York City comic book chain - also Marvel's partner in its comic book subscription service - and feature editor-in-chief Axel Alonso and SVP, executive editor Tom Brevoort introducing the concepts of the eight-issue series, which will also spill out into consumer products and digital releases throughout its run .
