Memphis airport gives update on $114M consolidation project

Memphis International Airport has started demolishing part of a concourse in a big step for a planned $114 million modernization project. The work underway now will remove the south end of Concourse A. Eventually, the south end of Concourse C will also be demolished, allowing the airport to consolidate its gates and vendors inside Concourse B. The consolidation should help the airport offset the cuts Delta Air Lines Inc. has made - and is continuing to make , as I reported Friday.
