(Telecompaper) Bahrain-based operator Menatelecom has filed a lawsuit against the telecommunications regulator for allegedly barring Menatelecom from bidding for 4G spectrum. The company filed a case against the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) at the Urgent Matters Court. The cabinet last month approved plans to introduce 4G technology as part of efforts to upgrade Bahrain's broadband infrastructure. Menatelecom said that despite meeting all the necessary requirements, it has been excluded from the auction, reports Gulf News. The case will be reviewed on 21 March.
