Microsoft overhauls pricing for Azure Web services

2013-06-04 18:05:24| InfoWorld: Top News

Microsoft is cutting prices for many of its Azure services and revamping how it charges for many of its services, the company said during its TechEd North America 2013 keynote. Azure no longer charges for stopped virtual machines. When a customer stops using one, billing stops. Before, in order to stop the charges customers had to delete the virtual machine. So developers can stop VMs when they go home at night or take the weekend off, or put testing on hold while revising code.
