Offering high transparency across visible and mid-IR (400–4,500 nm) range, mid-IR transport fiber is packaged in armored cable and features SMA connectors and broadband anti-reflection coating. Glass does not exhibit absorption features around 4,000 nm associated with chalcogenide glasses. Fiber is suited for beam delivery in medical applications and is compatible with optical parametric oscillator systems and quantum cascade lasers.
