(Telecompaper) Data & Audio-Visual Enterprises, the holding company for Canadian mobile operator Mobilicity, announced that it has adjourned a vote scheduled for 10 July by debtholders on its recapitalisation plan while it discusses a possible takeover offer for the company. Mobilicity said that it is in discussions with "multiple parties" on a possible acquisition. The company was earlier forced to abandon its takeover by Telus, after the Canadian government signalled it would not allow incumbent operators to acquire the newer entrants such as Mobilicity and their spectrum rights. Other operators that have expressed interest in or been reported to be looking at Mobilicity include US-based Verizon and Wind Mobile.
