Montclair train station rebuilt after fire to retain historic designation

New Jersey Transit had submitted an application to the state Office of Historic Preservation in January to de-register the Upper Montclair Railroad Station. In its submission, NJ Transit argued that the station, which was originally added to the list in 1984, had been mostly replaced since it was destroyed by a fire in 2006.
