In his speech on state of manufacturing today at Detroit Economic Club, NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons spoke to what manufacturing has meant to USA in past as well as its importance in present and future. He stressed that competitiveness matters at federal, state, and local levels. "Manufacturers are now at a point where the right policy choices can propel us toward a manufacturing renaissance, and the wrong choices can send manufacturers into a precipitous decline," said Timmons.
