(Telecompaper) The Australian company rolling out the National Broadband Network, NBN Co, has appointed Vodafone Australia head Bill Morrow as its new chief executive. Morrow will join NBN Co in the new year and be based in Sydney. Vodafone has yet to announce a replacement for Morrow. The appointment by NBN Co comes as the company works out delivering very fast broadband to Australian homes and businesses sooner and at less cost to taxpayers than previously was the case. The new approach is contained in the Strategic Review of the NBN which the company presented to the government the same day as the CEO announcement.
