NDC secures seed money to buy planters

The Newberg Downtown Coalition has received a $4,000 grant to beautify downtown Newberg with what the association is describing as a "wine country welcome." Specifically, the grant from Waste Management Inc. and Keep America Beautiful will be used to sprinkle the downtown core with colorful flower planters made from real wine barrels, according to NDC Executive Director Mike Ragsdale.
