The National Ground Water Research and Educational Foundation has awarded SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, New York, a $6,550 research grant to use probabilistic risk assessment and fault tree analysis (FTA) to evaluate potential groundwater degradation from hydraulic fracturing.
