NII Holdings files for bankruptcy

Reston-based NII Holdings filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization Monday, a month after saying a bankruptcy filing was likely. The company, which sells a Nextel-branded wireless service in Latin America, announced the voluntary filing after the markets closed Monday.
