NREL will play key roles in variety of projects funded by Department's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy. NREL's innovative approaches have received 5 awards across 3 different ARPA-E programs for advancing transformational technologies to generate, store, and use energy more efficiently, at lower costs and with reduced emissions. NREL’s ARPA-E funded projects range from solar cell and wind turbine innovation to novel controls and open-access models for improving U.S. electric grid.
