National Gallery of Canada Foundation sets Biennale endowment with donation

The Donald R. Sobey Family Foundation has donated $2 million to the National Gallery of Canada Foundation to establish the Canadian Artists in Venice Endowment. A major space in the gallery will be named after the Sobey family in recognition of the gift, which is an "unprecedented" move, according to a gallery foundation press release.
