Glenwood "Woody" Ritz Jr. still writes to a couple of his buddies from his days in the Navy 70 years ago. Ritz, a 90-year-old Waynesboro native, is among the few surviving sailors who served aboard the light cruiser USS Honolulu or the destroyer escort USS Fowler during World War II.
