Palm Beach Gardens officials were itching to land a United Technologies showcase building that will bring a $115 million capital investment and 380 new jobs. The Fortune 500 company chose the city for its 265,000-square-foot, six-story Center for Intelligent Buildings in early July and submitted a site plan shortly thereafter.
