Nevada County Deputies have identified the Nevada boy killed by a Union Pacific train early Sunday evening near Farad, California. The accident happened just after 5:15 p.m. near Farad along Interstate 80. Investigators say 13-year-old Anthony William Schafer of Sun Valley tried to cross the train tracks on a bridge when he was struck by the train.
