New York expects to meet winter electricity needs

The operators of New York state's power grid expect to have enough electricity to meet demand this winter. The New York Independent System Operator expects the peak demand this winter to be slightly below 25,000 megawatts, less than the seasonal record peak load during last year's bitter winter.
