Albany McDonald's worker, Jaquie Jordan, gets a standing ovation from supporters of raising the minimum wage, as Jordan addressed the wage board during the final hearing of the board as it considers raising the minimum wage for fast-food workers on Monday, June 22, 2015, at the Legislative Office Building in Albany, N.Y. Jordan told the board that her husband can't work due to a disability and that with her job at McDonalds she can barely make ends meet. Jordan said that she must walk to work, a half-hour each way, because she can't afford bus fare.
