New initative to bring recycling message to area schools

Borough President James Oddo brought his anti-litter campaign to Staten Island's future leaders Thursday, unveiling a public-private partnership to educate students at 10 pilot schools here through a pro-recycling, anti-litter, hands-on classroom curriculum. The initiative is a partnership between: Pratt Industries and its recycling plant in Travis; the Insitute for Scrap Recycling Industries ; the city's Department of Education; the Sanitation Department; Grow NYC, and Jason Learning.
