With the historic Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church in the background, Daniel Bowen, owner of Bowen Engineering, runs a mini-excavator at Fresno and O streets during the first round of work on the new site of Cosmopolitan, which is being moving from its longtime site at Fresno and G streets to make way for an extended Fresno Street underpass to carry traffic below future high-speed rail tracks and existing Union Pacific Railroad freight tracks. A heavy front-end loader rips up part of the Selland Arena parking lot at Fresno and O streets during the first round of work on the new site of Cosmopolitan, which is being moving from its longtime site at Fresno and G streets as part of the high-speed rail work.
