NiSource to spin off pipeline assets

NiSource Inc., the parent company of Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, is spinning off its pipelines into a separately traded public company. The move by NiSource follows other natural gas companies, including EQT Corp. and Consol Energy Inc. , which have done the same thing in recent years.
