Nike, Doernbecher Freestyle collaboration reaches $9M

Nike on a Friday night gave Doernbecher Children's Hospital $2.7 million, the proceeds from last year's sale of footwear and apparel designed by the hospital's patients. On Friday, Doernbecher auctioned some of this year's shoes, including the Nike Air Max designed by Addie Peterson, 15. Friday night's auction of this year's Nike Doernbecher collection netted more than $3 million for the children's hospital.
